We are an interdisciplinary team motivated to address three critical gaps in knowledge:
How do the nervous and musculoskeletal systems adapt to manual wheelchair use across the lifespan?
How can ergonomic standards be optimized to prevent neck pain in manual wheelchair users and non-users?
Are the physiological mechanisms underlying shoulder and neck pain and pathology specific to biological sex?
